Chess is one of the most popular sports because it is a fair game that doesn't judge based on your height, race, age, or background. The only thing that matters is your skill in outthinking your opponent. Once you checkmate your opponent, you win—simple as that.
Furthermore, chess is a lifetime sport—you can start as young as 4 years old, and there’s no retirement age. In fact, the older you are, the more experienced and wise you become, giving you an edge over younger players. Chess sharpens your critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and patience, all while fostering discipline and focus. It is not only a competitive sport but also a fun and intellectually stimulating activity. The accessibility and universal appeal of chess make it a popular choice for people of all ages and backgrounds.
Absolutely! Learning chess offers numerous benefits beyond just the game itself. For students, playing chess for their school can earn PAJSK points (co-curricular points), which are crucial for gaining admission to top schools and universities. In fact, many of our coaches received sports scholarships for university simply because they played chess for their school, saving a significant amount of money.
Moreover, many companies recognize the value of chess players and actively recruit them to participate in corporate sports events. Chess players are often sought after for their strategic thinking, problem-solving abilities, and focus, making them valuable assets to any team.
